Aaron Teh holds IM JImmy Liew to a draw on board 1 in Benko like position.
Other than that the other stronger seeds won their game. In fact there were only 2 draws in Round 1.
A similiar incident happened on board 1 in the Women’s section.
WNM Fong Mi Yen was held to a draw by Vickie Hong. Mi Yen had the black pieces.
